Wanda Sue Hunter

W Sue Hunter died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, July 19. She is preceded in death by parents Wilson and Garnett Davis, beloved sister Freda Watts, sister Stella Johnson, and brothers Charles, Tommy and James. She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Robert D Hunter and treasured children Shane Hunter (Maria Scherer), Brooke Hunter-Lombardi (Steven Lombardi) and adoptive son Ben (Sarah) Weigand. Also survived by adored grandchild Ely Lombardi, baby brother Harold (Nancy) Davis and loyal dog Jaeger.

Sue worked in the Math Department at The Ohio State University for 25 years where she made many lifelong friends.

Sue was passionate about rock music, award-winning films, literature and crossword puzzles. She was a beach lover, avid golfer, herb gardener, excellent cook, amazing gift giver, and empathetic listener. Her infectious laugh inspired gatherings and her smile lit up every heart. She had a way of telling the most engaging and hilarious jokes, that were actually just her astute observations of the world around her. Sue's sage words helped us all get through life. Her beauty, grace, poise and strength endured until the end.

Friends and family can call at the Heart and Hope Funeral Home by Schoedinger- Hilltop 3030 W Broad St, Columbus, OH 43204 on Monday, July 26 from 2 - 4 pm and may stay for a celebration of her life beginning at 4:00 pm.
