Wanda Jean May Ray

Wanda Jean May Ray, age 92, died May 21, 2014 at her residence in The Chelsea at First Community Village, Upper Arlington, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joseph William Ray Jr. She is survived by her children Joseph W. Ray III (Susan), Nancy Ray Ware Berlin (Geoff) and Richard A. Ray (Nancy); grandchildren Joseph W. Ray IV (Kristin), Kara Ray Rappolt (Matt), David A. Ray (Sarah), Brian D. Ray (Christy), Allison Ray Driscoll (Brandon), Molly E. Ware; and 11 great grandchildren.

A life long resident of Columbus, She was a graduate of Columbus School for Girls and The Ohio State University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Wanda had a full life of service to her family and her community. She was a life long member of First Congregational Church. Other memberships included Scioto Country Club, Bonita Bay Club, Bonita Springs, Florida, Solid Comfort Fishing Club French River, Ontario, and Twig 99 of Children's Hospital.

There will be a private family service and burial. The family will receive friends for a reception in the Prior Room of The Chelsea, First Community Village, 1800 Riverside Drive, Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 3:00 - 5:30.
