Wayne W. Kennedy, age 85, of Blacklick, went home to be with the Lord October 3, 2015. Wayne was born January 14, 1930 in Iaeger, WV to the late George and Essie Kennedy. Also preceded in death by a brother Arnold. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wanda; sons, Jeffrey and Michael (Kay); daughter, Nancy (Zach) Lively; six step-grandchildren; brothers, Dave, Bob and Don Kennedy; sister, Kathern; other relatives and friends. Wayne loved his devoted dog Katie so much. Wayne served his country as a Veteran U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Jersey Baptist Church where he faithfully served. Retired from Columbus Coated Fabrics after 30 years. Wayne loved playing golf with his friends, working in the yard and gardening. Friends may call 6-8 pm, Wednesday at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL1051 E. Johnstown RD. (at Beecher RD) Gahanna. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Jersey Baptist Church, 13160 Morse Road, New Albany, OH. Pastor Phil Duncan officiating. Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
