William Clell Autrey

Bill was born September 24, 1937, in Hazard, Kentucky, to William Clell Autry, Sr. and Eunice (Elam) Autry. He served in the Air Force as a young man, prior to his marriage to the love of his life, Donna (Hammond) Autrey, on April 14, 1962. He was a graduate of Monroe High School and Miami University (Oxford, OH), and the majority of Bill’s career was spent as a Human Resources Director for Armco Steel/Steelox in Middletown and Washington CH, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father Robert Cornett, and wife, Donna. He is survived by three children: Jeff (Kelly) Autrey, of Grove City, OH; Angela Autrey, of San Francisco, CA; and Leah (Jeff) Michaels of Pleasant Prairie, WI.; Eight granddaughters: Jade (Dan) Ausdenmoore, Rachel Autrey, Megan Autrey, Kylie Barton, McKaley Dean, Isabelle Autrey, Olivia Autrey, and Sophia Autrey; his brother, Bill Oriel & family, his sister-in-law Karen (Larry) Shepherd, and beloved nieces, Lorna and Susan Shepherd.

Bill was a kind and loving soul, avid golfer, and witty jokester, full of what his family coined, “Bill-isms." He will be deeply missed.

Visitation Tuesday, November 29, 5-8 pm at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel 3920 Broadway, Grove City OH. where Bill’s funeral service will be held 10 AM Wednesday November 30. Private family burial at Butler Memorial Gardens, Hamilton, OH.
