

William Ray Burris, age 79, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 in Circleville. He was born October 11, 1938 to the late Harold and Amanda (Johnson) Burris in Gallipolis, Ohio. William dedicated many years to working for PPG in Circleville. After retirement he followed his true passion, fishing. He and his wife, Palma, moved to Lake Erie where William owned Leadslinger Sport Fishing Charters that serviced the Marblehead and Port Clinton areas. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Roundtown Bass Club and Lake Erie Moose Club 552. William also enjoyed football and was a big OSU fan. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Along with his parents, William is preceded in death by his wife, Palma Burris and first wife, Joyce Burris. Left to mourn his passing are his children, Randy (Tammy) Burris and Rusty (Kathy) Burris and Erin (Mark) Barthelmas; grandchildren, Kevin Burris, Jeremy Harper, Brandi Harper and Kathryn Barthelmas; great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Burris, Autumn Burris, Peyton Burris and Sophia Harper; great-great grandchildren, Kara, Serena and Logan Jeffries; sisters, Rena (Charles) Boldozer and Rose Young; as well as many other relatives and friends. He will also be missed by his dog and best buddy, Joy. Per William's wishes there will be no services. Arrangements entrusted to Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger.
