William J. "Bill" Carson

William J. Carson, Jr., age 74, of Westerville, OH passed away Monday, January 3, 2011. He was born December 13, 1936 in Columbus, OH to the late William J.Carson, Sr. and Sara E. Riddlebaugh. Following Bill’s graduation from St. Thomas Aquinas High School, he worked for Weatherhead Factory, Jefferies Factory and finally, he retired from The Ohio School for the Deaf, where he enjoyed working as a teacher aide. Bill was a member of the OSD Athletic Boosters, the Columbus Deaf Anglers Club and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He is survived by his beloved children, Michael J. “Jimmy” Cardosi and Trudy Carson (and their mother, Joan Morris-Knouff); Amber S. Felter and Patrick J. Carson (and their mother, Christina S. Felter); Uncle Robert Carson; special cousin and caregiver, Karen Rorabaugh; other cousins, relatives, colleagues, former students and friends. Family will receive friends 2-5pm Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd. Columbus, OH 43229 where the funeral service will be held at 5pm.; Pastor Kevin Kenreich, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Schoedinger Funeral Service to assist with funeral expenses.
