

William B. Conner, Jr., age 64, President and CEO of The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts of Columbus, OH passed away Friday, October 28th surrounded by loving family. Born in West Palm Beach, FL June 9th, 1952 to William B., Sr. and Glenola (Corman) Conner. Described by friends and family as being tremendously passionate for the arts, Bill has served as CAPA’s president since 2002. Under his guidance and supervision, CAPA has solidified itself as a staple among the arts community in central Ohio, and as an exemplary model for other performing arts organizations around the country. Bill’s committed passion for the arts and his community will always be remember throughout the hearts and minds of those who were fortunate enough to know him, and those who’ve been touched in some form by his great work. Bill believed in using the power of theatre to enlighten, enhance, and enrich his community. Most importantly, Bill counted his family as his proudest achievement. He will truly be missed. Survived by his loving wife Karen; children, Ben and Emily Conner; and many friends. Family will hold a private service and burial, with a public memorial service at a later date.
