

A funeral service for William A. Farmer Jr. of Newark will be held Sunday January 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Church of God of Licking County, 2182 Riggs Road NE Newark with Pastor Tony Bartlette officiating. A private graveside service will take place Monday at Wilson Cemetery.
Bill was born in Newark on November 3, 1944 to the late William A. and Mary (Sprague) Farmer. He died Wednesday January 23, 2013 at the Selma Markowitz Center. He was 68.
Bill is survived by his wife Mary (Munyan), whom he married on March 16, 1963, daughters Sheri (William) Deal of Newark and Connie (Ken) Maune of Lancaster, grandchildren Jennifer Farmer, Arminda Rine, Elanie Risbon; great grandchildren Abigail Scurlock, Bryant Scurlock, and another one on the way; step grandchildren Danielle Maune, Kyle Maune, Lisa Taylor and William Deal Jr., and six step great-grandchildren, and his brother David (Beverly) Farmer of Newark; special cousins Ron and Ken Seaman, numerous nieces and nephews, and waiting for him is his pet dog “Mackie”.
Bill graduated from Newark HS, worked for 40 years at Newark Electro-Plating, where he was a Supervisor and President of the Steelworker’s Union. He was a member of the Church of God of Licking County, where he loved to listen to Southern Gospel music, he loved to golf, travel to Louisville for Gospel Conventions, and watch football, especially the OSU Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns.
