

William H. Mink, age 97, of West Linn, Oregon, died March 7, 2020. His wife, Ruth Chappell Mink, predeceased him. He is Survived by sons Ronald of West Linn, OR, and Steven of Columbus, OH; daughter Margaret of West Linn, OR, 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughter Deborah Holden. Graduate of University of Wisconsin 1947, M.S. Chemical Engineering. He was a member of Pi Mu Epsilon (honorary mathematical society), Mensa, American Institute of Chemical Engineers and Society of Professional Engineers State of Ohio. He served in the Navy during World War II as Electronics Technicians Mate. He was Program Manager at Battelle Columbus Labs, where he was employed for 30 years. He was the recipient of two patents and had 18 technical papers published. In 1970 he became V.P. and General Manager of Sciotec Corp., a Battelle subsidiary. In 1984 he formed Panatec Inc., Columbus, an engineering consulting firm. He retired in 1989 but continued to consult on a part-time basis. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, March 13, 2020 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until time of service Friday. Pastor David Noel officiating.
