

William retired from the United States Army with 20 years of service, proudly serving his country as a sergeant during the Vietnam War. He also retired as a supervisor with Pearson Education with 20 years of service. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan, enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling and spending time with his wife and daughter. William was passionate about WWII history, watching movies and recently started collecting and painting WWII soldier models. One other wish that William had, was to go surfing with his daughter Paula.
In addition to his mother and step-father, Elsie and Robert Ritchey, survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Wanda M. (Edwards) Neff of Columbus, whom he married on May 11, 1968; loving daughter, Paula M. Neff of Columbus; adopted daughter, Mary Morrill of Columbus; brothers and sisters, Emily Damon, Ginny (Steve) Hoffman, Sue (Earl) Dickey, Steve Neff, Ken Neff, Mike Ritchey and Roberta Ritchey; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of William to the American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, OH 43017-4184.
The Neff family would also like to thank Licking Memorial Hospital Oncology Department for all of their professional and compassionate care provided during William’s illness.
