

William Joseph Swain, 76, died surrounded by family, November 28, 2015 in Columbus Ohio. Born to the late Floyd H. Swain and Marjorie Myer, in Wood County, Ohio, April 22, 1939. Preceded in death by his oldest son, William Swain Jr. Survived by his beloved wife Barbara and children, Michael Swain, Sheri (Ron) Myers, Kristen Swain and Eric Swain; step daughters, Micah Breckenridge (Todd) and Melissa Hoffman; grandchildren, Joseph Gray, Jennifer McMillan, Joshua Swain, Kevin Senters, Brandon Senters, Haley Swain and Noah Swain; and one great grandchild, Casey Rose. Bill was a constant. He was a man of principle and vision who was fierce and true to his word. He held a quiet sense of confidence and inspired others with the confidence that the problem would be solved. He was also quietly generous and kind. His constant willingness to help his family and others, and to give to the unfortunate revealed his big heart. He never thought twice about giving the shirt off of his back, but he also had the heart of a lion. He stood sure to his principles, beliefs and integrity. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City where funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Thursday. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
