William "Bill" D. Unger

William “Bill” D. Unger, age 80, of Columbus, passed away Monday, October 4, 2010 at his home. He was born in Darke County, Ohio on December 24, 1929 to the late Minor and Lottie (Brumbaugh) Unger. Bill worked for Westinghouse and COTA and was a life long member of FOPA. He had a passion for photography and enjoyed collecting hats. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother. Survivors include his wife, Lee Unger; children, Dean (Cathy) Unger, and Rita (John Sr) Blackburn; grandchildren, John Jr. (Brittany) Blackburn, Angie (Bob) Messer, Katie Blackburn, Deanna (Matthew Sr.) Vargas, and Adam Unger; great grandchildren, Zackary, Allie, Victoria, and Matthew Jr.; step-children, Michael, Ronda, David, James, John, and Paul Stephens; 13 step-grandchildren; one sister; one brother; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 3:00PM-5:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City where the funeral service will be held Monday, October 11, 2010 at 10:00AM.
