William Ernest Zipf

William E. "Bill" Zipf, age 83, of Delaware, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. He was born July 6, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late William and Ruth (Griffey) Zipf. He was a graduate of Bexley High School and had attended The Ohio State University. Bill was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was the owner of Zipf Lock Company. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Marilyn Zipf who passed away in 2009. He is survived by his children, Richard L. (Carol) Zipf, Steven D. (Rhonda) Zipf and Wendy E. (Stephen) Lutz; grandchildren, Hannah (Emerson), Sarah (Matt), Blayne (Zephaniah) and Payton; sisters in-law, Doris (Charles) Jordan, Faith (Walter) Bauer; sister, Pauline Nicewarner; six nephews, and one niece. Friends may call Friday, July 31, 2015 from 5-8pm at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio. Funeral service will be held at 10:00am Saturday, August 1, 2015 at ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH 6770 N. High St. with Pastor Bonnie Gerber and Pastor Carl Fischer officiating. Interment will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park.
