Yolanda Perez

Yolanda Perez, age 52, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. She was born April 27, 1965 to Luis Perez and Felicita Rodriguez in Yauco, Puerto Rico. Yolanda received her Bachelor's degree in Education from the College of Mayagüez (RUM). She continued her education at Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan where she received her Master's degree in Education. Yolanda was a dedicated Dean of Students at the Charles School for numerous years. She loved to scrapbook, was a talented Calligrapher who taught students the craft. Most importantly she was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Surviving are beloved sons, Ezequiel, David and Benjamin Perez; grandchildren, Arden and Eowyn Perez; siblings, Hector, Julio, Cecilia, Luz and Elizabeth Perez, all of whom she loved dearly. Family will receive friends Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 2-6 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229. Burial will take place at a later date at the Cemetery of Yauco in her home town of Puerto Rico.
