

Zachary Dylan Gold passed away on September 19, 2020 at the age of 24. Zachary was born on December 16, 1995 in Columbus, Ohio to his parents, Kandi and Steve. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Muriel and Lewis Gold; maternal grandmother, Betty S. Eichorn; step-brothers, Cory and Brian; and cousin, Ryan. He is survived by his loving parents who will miss him dearly, Stephen Gold of Westerville and Kandi R. Betzler of Akron; stepmother, Kay of Westerville; stepfather William J. Ivany Jr. of Akron; sisters, Alyx Sloan and Devyn Kenna Gold of Columbus; stepbrother, Cody and his wife, Nicole Cox of New Albany. Zachary also leaves behind many extended family members, uncles and aunts, Gary (Delia) Betzler of Willoughby, Holli (Kirk) Tenney of Warren, Michael (Marianne) of Aurora, Thomas (Stefanie) of Canfield, Jeffrey (Wendy) Ivany of Dublin, Maury and Karen Fox of West Palm Beach, FL, Robert and Lilly Gold of Reston, VA, Gerald and Barb Dunfee, Steve and Nancy Murray of Coshocton, John and Barb Ravotti of Gahanna, and numerous loving cousins and friends. Zachary graduated from Springfield High School in Lakemore, Ohio. He enjoyed and participated in many sports and activities throughout his years there. He loved attending pro sporting events, with his all-time favorite team being the Buffalo Bills. Zach is remembered as a real friend, a confident, true believer with the kindest of souls. He enjoyed so many of God’s gifts, but especially the beauty of nature. He loved the season of fall. He was very in touch with God’s true intentions to not only embrace one’s faith but above all, love everyone regardless of their transgressions. He was passionate about spending time with his family. His twin sister, Devyn and his older sister, Alyx. The three of them were inseparable. He found comfort in the camaraderie at family gatherings and events with friends. Zach’s smile and energy was truly infectious. His compassion for others will be dearly missed by all who loved him. Please join the family on Saturday, September 26 at 2 PM for a Celebration of Life at The Walsh House located at 1436 Chelmsford Square N, Columbus, Ohio 43229. In addition, family will receive friends and family from 1-3 PM on Monday September 28 at Schoedinger Funeral Home located at 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229 where a funeral service will follow at 3 PM. Guests are respectfully asked to wear masks and attendance will be monitored to ensure safety for everyone attending. In lieu of flowers, family has requested donations in Zach's name to be made to The Walsh House at the address above. Zach found much comfort and support of those who gathered there and would wish to carry on the mission of helping others. Zach’s passion was his family and friends and knowing they would support his wishes would truly complete him.
