Irene Czerwinski of Valley Cottage, NY, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2022. Irene was born on July 23, 1939 to Martha and Zigmund Szymanski. She married the love of her life, Tom, in 1961. They had four children. Irene and her family moved to Valley Cottage in 1973 where she lived the rest of her life. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, but her greatest joys came from her family. She is survived by her daughter Laura Biktjorn (Kjell) and her son Kevin (Wendy) and her daughter in law, Jennifer. She is also survived by her grandchildren Alex (Lauren),Nick (Pamela), Elizabeth, Mary (Danny), Thomas, and Braden. She is also survived by her beautiful great grandchildren Jackson and Cassidy. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Tom, her son, Mark, and her daughter, Karen. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 6 from 4-8pm at Higgins Funeral Home in Congers, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, 10am, at St. Paul’s Church, Congers, followed by interment at Gethsemane Cemetery, Congers, NY.
