Jean A Mancuso

Jean Mancuso, resident of Valley Cottage, NY, passed away peacefully at the age of 100, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 20, 2014. Jean was born in Corleone Sicily on March 11, 1914. She came to America at the age of 13 and settled in New York City. On June 6, 1937 she married Louis Mancuso, her devoted husband, who predeceased her. Jean worked as a seamstress most of her life. Jean is survived by her children, Sabra Jo Lokensky and her husband Allen of Valley Cottage, NY and her son Vincent Mancuso and his wife Annette of New Fairfield, CT; six grandchildren: Vincent Mancuso Jr., Christopher and his wife Sue, Debra Tomasetti of New Fairfield, CT Janine Mancuso of Naples, FL, Laurene and her husband Steve Benelli of Fort Wayne, IN, and June Worms of Valley Cottage, NY.

Jean also had eight great grandchildren: Nicholas, Stephanie and Amanda Worms, Brianna, Cameron and Caitlin Mancuso, and Jaclyn and Jared Tomasetti.

Visiting will be held today from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in Congers, NY. Mass of a Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, 11:30am, at St. Paul's Church, Congers, followed by interment at Gethsemane Cemetery, Congers.
