Robert V. Tassello Jr.

September 20, 1965 -March 29, 2026

Robert Vincent Tassello Jr. (“Bobby”), 60, of Congers, New York, passed away peacefully in his sleep from a heart attack on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

Bobby was the beloved husband of Stephanie Tassello and devoted son of Robert Sr. and Dolores Tassello. He was the loving and proud father of Robert III and Sofia Tassello. He is also survived by his siblings, Diona (James) Cameron and Jodie (Megan) Tassello, along with his loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bobby began his career working alongside his parents in their beverage distribution company Bob & Dee Beverage and later became the owner of Nordstrom Moving and Storage Company in Orangeburg, New York. In 2009, he joined Nordstrom Contracting & Consulting Corp., where he served as General Superintendent, overseeing numerous projects at Veterans Administration hospitals in Castle Point and Montrose, New York.

He and his wife Stephanie raised their family in Orangeburg, where their children excelled academically and athletically. Bobby was well known as a former quarterback for the Valley Cottage Indians and maintained a lifelong passion for fitness. He enjoyed long-distance cycling, often riding to Bear Mountain, and treasured family vacations spent scuba diving.

Bobby loved spending time with family especially Sunday dinners at his parents’ home, attending gatherings, and watching sports, especially rooting for the New York Giants. His greatest pride was in his children—his daughter Sofia, who is currently training at the New York City Police Academy training to become a New York City police officer, and his son Robert, who is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

The Tassello family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and prayers.

Visitation will be held at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., 113 Lake Road East, Congers, NY 10920, on April 7, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will take place at St Paul's Catholic Church, 82 Lake Rd, Congers, NY 10920, on April 8, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, 36 W Nyack Rd, Nanuet, NY 10954, on April 8, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
