Roberta Ann Nash

Robert Ann Nash of Congers, NY passed away peacefully on October 23, 2021 at the Joe Raso Hospice Residence. She was born on October 31, 1942 to Pierina and John Valehora. Growing up as a young girl in the Claremont Park Section of the Bronx was pure joy since she was never at a loss for what to do. Marrying her longtime boyfriend in August 1963, Rockland County began to look favorably in the eyes of Roberta and Jim as a good place to raise a family. Roberta enjoyed the outdoors as well as cooking, crocheting, watching the Yankees, house cleaning, and traveling the world, but her greatest joy was her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Jim, her children Laureen Young (Michael) and James Nash, grandchildren Alexandra, Brian, and Julia. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Doreen Hettinger.

Family will receive guests on Friday, October 29th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home; 113 Lake Rd. East Congers, NY 10920. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday October 30th at 10am, at St. Paul’s Church in Congers, NY. Followed by interment at Gethsemane Cemetery in Rockland Lake.
