Phyllis Pauline (Bergen) McKee Ellison

Phyllis Pauline Bergen McKee Ellison, 81, of Greensburg died April 7, 2020 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati Ohio. Phyllis was born May 6, 1938, in Connersville, IN to Lowell and Garnet Rowe Bergen. On July 4, 1986, Phyllis married the late Donald T. Ellison. Phyllis enjoyed cooking for many years at local restaurants including, Hudson House, Benny’s Restaurant and Maggie’s. Mostly she enjoyed being a mother and a homemaker. She was a proud Jehovah’s Witness for 10 years being a member of the Greensburg Kingdom Hall. Her favorite hobbies included reading, crafts, puzzles, cooking especially candy at Christmas time, watching Survivor and The Amazing Race. Phyllis is survived by her Son: Eugene W. (Bill) McKee and Shirley of Connersville; Daughters: Dawn Waters of Dillsboro, IN, Fawn Toney and Joe of Palmetto, GA; Brothers: Fred Bergen of Columbia, IN, Curt Bergen of Connersville; Sisters: Hazel Grizzell of Falmouth, IN, Faye Murray of Connersville, Ethel Dye of Andersonville, IN; 6 Grandchildren; 2 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild; Several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Son: Kerry (Rex) McKee; Brother: Chuck Bergen; Sisters: Alice Bulmer, Nellie Scott, Judith Bergen. A graveside service will be conducted on July 11, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. at Laurel North Cemetery. Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, has been entrusted with services. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
