James MacDonald Roach Sr.

James MacDonald Roach, Sr., age 78, of Covington, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, Conyers Chapel (formerly Horis A. Ward, Rockdale Chapel), at 7:30 p.m., with Pastors David M. Jones and Willis N. Reed officiating.

A second service will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at Shiloh SDA Church, 449 Eastern Pkwy, Brooklyn, NY 11216. Interment will be at Cypress Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.

A native of Barbados, West Indies, Mr. Roach enjoyed sharing life and music with his family. He was loved and will be greatly missed by: his wife, Ruby Roach; children, Dorothy, Margaret, Mary June, Michael, John, Daniel, Lyndon and James Jr.; grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Christopher, Mitchell, Brittany, Claudius, Naomi, Sarah, Morgan and Taylor Renee; great-grandchild, Christopher, Jr.; brothers and sisters, Eric, Herbert (Fritz), Merlene, Carlene, Yvonore, Joan, Florencia, Joan, Prenella, Angela, Anthony, Ivanette; a host of nieces & nephews, family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Newton & Daisy (Ferguson) Roach.
