Melissa’s greatest joy in life was being a mother. She cherished every moment spent with her children, whether it was going on walks, taking them to the park, or simply being together. Her love extended far beyond her own children; she loved her entire family as if they were her kids and would do anything for them. Melissa was known for her kind and generous heart, always putting others before herself.
Her warm smile and dimples could brighten any room she entered. Melissa was an amazing cook who took pride in preparing meals for her loved ones, and her specialty, chumuth, was especially cherished. Despite facing health challenges, she celebrated all her achievements with strength and grace, inspiring those around her.
Melissa is survived by her children, Exsavian and Azarie Juan; her parents, Augusta Pablo and Brian Cooper; her siblings, Ebony Cooper, Wesley Cooper, Bryceson Cooper, Braydon Cooper, her father, Jerome Thomas Sr., and her siblings Jalen Thomas, Alayna Thomas, and Leslie Thomas; and her grandmother, Yvonne Pablo Begay.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerome Thomas Jr.; her great-grandmother, Elizabeth Pablo; and her significant other, Daryle Juan Jr.
A wake will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Hashan Kehk Multipurpose Building in Hashan Kehk. A Mass will follow on Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Hashan Kehk, followed by burial at Hashan Kehk Cemetery.
