Shirley had a gentle and creative soul. She loved to draw, admired horses, and found special joy in hummingbirds. Her dogs, Fancy and Taffy, were constant companions and dearly loved. Strong in her faith, Shirley enjoyed sharing it with others and faithfully watched Jimmy Swaggart. While she cherished being surrounded by family, she was also content spending quiet time on her own.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Robin Alwine; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Martin; her daughter, Sheila Bolgren; her siblings, John G. Adams, Doris Adams, Nina Adams, and Lois Evelyn Parker; and her parents, John and Bessie Adams.
Shirley’s faith was a guiding light throughout her life, and she now rests peacefully in the presence of her Lord.
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”
— Matthew 25:21
