Diann 'Gammy' Burrier

Age 81, of Blaine MN, was called home to be with the Lord on July 16th, 2025.

Preceded in death by her parents Emma and Clarence Donaldson, and great-granddaughter Gracelynn Villella.

Survived by her loving husband of nearly 64 years (anniversary July 31st) Jerry Burrier; daughters Kelly Burrier and Tanja (Albert) Solem; grandchildren Naomi (Jon) Thomas, Kiefer Solem, Tasha Solem, Jeremiah Powell, and Marissa (Vinny) Villella; great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Madison, Malachi, Abigail, Chase, Jaxon, Nico, and Mason; sisters Audrey, Barbara and Darla; and many special nieces and nephews.

Diann was born in Vinita, Oklahoma. Diann was the eldest of her four siblings, whom she helped raise. The younger sisters couldn’t have asked for a more inspirational role model to look up to. Diann was proud of her Shawnee Indian heritage and a member of the Cherokee Nation. She and her family moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1945. This is where she met Jerry, while he was selling salve at her door in 8th grade. She graduated from Washington High School in Sioux Falls in 1961. Impressively, Diann worked as a dispatcher at a gas company in 1962 and was the highest paid female at the time making $1.25/hr. Diann, Jerry and their daughters moved to Minnesota in 1970. She held several successful jobs during her time in the workforce. Diann also came to know Jesus and has been a devoted follower since. She obtained her motorcycle license to enjoy riding with Jerry. Diann was a dedicated grandmother who found joy in spending time and making memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by many.

There will be a celebration of life Saturday, August 9th at Centennial Library Community Center in Circle Pines from 1-4pm.
