Evan Blake Peloquin passed away October 7 at the age of 31 at his home in Coon Rapids surrounded by his family. Evan was a 2007 graduate of Coon Rapids High School. An avid video game player, his collection spanned many genres and focused on retro systems. Online, he enjoyed associating with gamer related events like Desert Bus For Hope, whose annual charity drive raises money for Child's Play, or exploring music through Radio Dead Air. His knowledge of technology kept him the family's head wifi manager and cable consultant. He had a keen sense of direction and loved road trips which he would map out and guide with a dry sense of humor along the way, all the while showing off his eclectic playlist from his iPod Classic for the passengers with him. His passion for travel expanded to his palate, Evan loved going to and experiencing a wide variety of eateries as a part of his interest in world cuisines. These food interests were combined with his fascination in novelty sodas and candy in multiple visits to Jim's Apple Farm and Midtown Global Market, especially as well earned reward during his treatments.
He is survived by his parents, David and Leisha Peloquin of Coon Rapids, his younger sister, Audra Peloquin (Plano, Texas), and his younger twin brothers, Garrett and Spencer Peloquin (Verona, Wisconsin), all of whom will miss his keen observation, quick wit, and endless array of twin related jokes. Evan is also survived by his grandmothers, Adrienne Peloquin (Springfield. Massachusetts), and Faye Leiter (Menomonie, Wisconsin). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and family friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Harold Peloquin (Springfield, Massachusetts), and Howard Olson (Grand Forks, North Dakota).
Visitation will take place on Monday, October 12, 2020 from 3pm to 7pm at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to Child's Play or The American Cancer Society.
