I think of you often! Sometimes you just pop into my head ~ and I miss you. I cannot believe July will mark 8 years since you went home to be with Jesus. I am so glad you did not have to witness the Covid pandemic, oh my… how the world has changed! Jessica is in her 3rd year in college, she is making a way for herself. She is interning at a pharmacy this summer up in Bemidji where she is going to school. She is spreading her wings and I know you would be so proud!  Everytime I see a rainbow, I think of you. I hope you continue to rejoice up in heaven.

A year ago we brought you to Camp Ripley, your final resting place. I didn't think this day, a whole year later would be so hard for me. A song popped into my head this morning, a song that should have played at your service...."I can only imagine" by Mercy Me. As I sing that song in my head, I know you are rejoicing.  The last year has been hard as we all miss you so much. But, one week, one day, one hour at a time is what we can accomplish. Jessica will start high school this fall, WOW!  And with a little more perserverence, I too, will be done with school in October. Tears of sadness are flowing today remembering you, but tears of joy as well because of all the support family and friends have embraced us with. Missing you mom, and loving you lots!

Mom, We all miss you so much everyday. So many times I have gone to call you on the phone or message you on the computer. Right now I am struggling to write a paper for my class, but even through the struggles, I can hear your voice telling me that you know I can do it and you know I'll make it through it. You were always one of my biggest supporters and I always so much appreciated that!  It is fall time now and I know how you always loved the changing of the colors and how it would make you homesick to see all the oranges, reds and yellows.I wish you could see it again.  I love you lots and miss you terribly!

Our Deepest Sympathy to the whole Mechels family, she was a wonderful friend and Loved by soo many. I will miss her always. Rest in Gods arms Dear.

Irma was very much a second mom to me.  I can remember her coming over from her house next door to have coffee and cigarettes with my mother - I learned more about the neighborhood from overhearing their conversations than I would have any other way.  The Mechels were the best neighbors anyone could ask for, and Irma was a big part of why.  It's a sadder world without her in it.

So sorry!! this is so hard for all of you.  Please find comfort in the caring of you many friends in Ham Lake.  Irma was a good neighbor.  I have missed her since you moved.  God's blessings on all of you.

Roger, Russell & Denise, our sincere sympathy to you and the family.  I'll miss visiting with and playing words with friends, until we meet again Irma,  RIP dear friend.

There are so many memories of Auntie Irma, I'm not sure which one I will miss most.  So many good memories of early years of Irma and her family when we spent many holidays together, Thanksgivings are what I remember the most.  Then there were her home decorating abilities.........nobody could make over a room like Irma with new colors, curtains, upholstery.  I recently changed my accent colors to match Irma's teal.  Irma was nice enough to volunteer her time to pull off some very ugly old wallpaper from my kitchen walls and give them life again, for that, I am thankful.  And, then there was her ability to make potato salad!  Could anyone make potato salad like Irma?  Fathers day picnic will not be the same with out her salad.  I am thankful I got to see and talk to Irma on two recent occasions and but I never imagined those time would be the last.  I will miss Irma very much but will always have the memories for years to come.

We had the pleasure to spend our summers with this wonder lady.  Wish we could of spent more time with her.  She could always make us laugh at the simple things.  She would always to try to out fish us, sometimes she did.  We will miss her greatly. We know she is in heaven with her parents again.

Roger and family...it just doesn't seem possible that she is gone. Please accept our condolences and please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

I worked with Irma at Vascular Solutions.  She was always a joy to be around.  My mother and Irma had become pretty good friends in retirement.  Irma had even visited them down in Texas.  She will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Irma at Vascular Solutions. Irma took me under her wing and helped the work day move along with her stories, especially about her grandchildren. We had lost touch in recent years but I will remember her fondly! My sincere condolences to her family whom I know she loved so much. I'm praying for your peace.

Roger, Russ and family, and Denise and family. What a shock! It is still not real that Irma should be gone. Keeping you all in prayer. She loved to kiss the nephews with her fresh bright red lipstick. She was giving. Always ready to help out. We sure had some fun times on snowmobile at Grey Eagle. Decorating cookies at Christmas was an all day ordeal, but fun. Gonna miss you A LOT, do already. Love you. RIP and I can't wait to finish some of those games of WWF when we meet again.
