Joy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Lyle and her parents Oscar and Hilda Sjolie. She is survived by her four children: sons Ronald (Linda), Terry (Dawn), and Gregory (Kathy); and daughter Vicki (Mike Holmes). She is also survived by her brother-in-law Dean (Trudi) Busch, nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a large extended family and friends.
Joy lived an extraordinary life, marked by kindness, grace, and a gentle spirit. She touched the hearts of all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 18th at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd., Coon Rapids, MN. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by a service at 11:30 a.m. and a luncheon.
A graveside service will take place on July 26th at 11:00 a.m. at Amor Cemetery, where Joy will be laid to rest beside her husband, Lyle.
