Lois passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026.
She was born on March 13, 1931, in Wahpeton, North Dakota. Her parents were Emil and Grace Peterson, and they raised her in Breckenridge, Minnesota.
Lois met her husband, Kendall Arne in Fargo, North Dakota. They got married and raised five (5) children in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Kendall passed away in 1979.
In 1983 she met and married Ivan Barthel, also of Coon Rapids. Together they grew the Barthel Rental Business in the Blane and Coon Rapids area. With Lois' five (5) children and Ivan's five (5) children they amassed a fortune of over 70+ grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Ivan passed away in 2014, Lois then moved to the Homestead of Anoka where she remained until her passing.
Funeral Service 11:30 am with Visitation 10:00 am until time of service on Friday, January 16, 2026, both at Trinity Episcopal Church (1415 6th Ave, Anoka).
Private interment Morningside Memorial Gardens in Coon Rapids.
