On July 13, 1946, she married Donald Armagost at the Church of Immaculate Conception in Osakis, Minnesota. The couple moved from Osakis, MN to Milwaukee, WI and later lived in Fridley and East Bethel, MN. Louise managed a clothing store in Milwaukee and worked at Electric Machine in Minneapolis in her earlier years. Louise was an independent spirit. She had a tremendous sense of humor and loved to cook dinner for her family. She enjoyed reading biographies and gossip magazines, watching and feeding the birds, driving her Cadillac, tending to her garden, listening to Willie Nelson, and playing Rummy K. The joys of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Louise passed away on Monday morning, April 10, 2023, at Suite Living in Brooklyn Park, MN at the age of 96 years, 8 months. She will be deeply missed.
Louise is survived by her son, Rick Armagost (wife Kathleen “Bootsie”) of Brooklyn Park, MN; two grandchildren, Nathan Armagost and Andrea Armagost (husband Andrew Johnson); and four great-grandchildren, Audrey and Maxwell Armagost and Evelina and Louise Johnson.
Join us to Celebrate Louise's Life on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN. Visitation from 10 - 11 am, service at 11 am, and luncheon to follow. Private interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
