Passed peacefully on October 20, 2011 with her 5 children at her side.
Preceded in death by husband, George; parents, James and Ethel Stavig; and brothers, Marlowe and James Stavig, Jr.
Survived and will be missed by her loving children, Ronald (Peggy), Rhonda Boese (Ty), Sam (Marcia), Ronalda Kankaala and Richard (Mike); ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Jan Stavig Liles.
Besides a career as a supervisor with the U.S. Postal Service, Marlene was a dedicated volunteer (the Ebenezer Society, Methodist Hospital, Mercy Hospital). The most devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Marlene's life centered around her cherished family, her love never ending and unconditional.
Visitation 5-8pm Tuesday, October 25 at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids. Funeral Service 11am Wednesday, October 26, also at Gearhart Funeral Home, with an additional visitation at 10:30am.
Interment Sunset Cemetery.
