Born on April 14, 1954, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mary Lou spent her life rooted in the community she loved. She built a remarkable career at Wells Fargo Bank, where she worked for 44 years before retiring. Over those decades, she not only contributed her dedication and professionalism but also formed countless lifelong friendships that enriched both her life and the lives of those around her.
Mary Lou was a warm and caring mother whose playful humor brought joy to every gathering, even the tough ones. Her home was a reflection of her spirit—welcoming, vibrant, and always impeccably maintained. She took great pride in her landscaping and found peace and purpose in tending to her yard. Whether planting flowers or trimming hedges and staining arbors, she found immense joy in being outdoors and staying active. Her love of physical activity was matched only by her deep commitment to helping others; she lived a life of service in both big ways and small gestures.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband Bill; son Alan; daughter Heather; grandchildren Austin and Lily; and brother Doug. Each of them carries forward the strength, kindness, and laughter that Mary Lou so generously shared.
Mary Lou was the best of us—steadfast in love, generous in spirit, and full of life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life ceremony for Mary Lou will be planned for this Spring, and details, including the date and location, will be shared at a later time.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her, and may her enduring kindness and spirit carry on through all of us.
