age 70, formerly of Duluth, MN, residing in Minneapolis, MN passed away unexpectedly on July 19th, 2024. He was born June 24th, 1954 in Manhattan, New York at Manhattan General Hospital to Ciro and Maria Riccio. Mike Graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1972. Shortly after graduating, Mike moved to California, where he would eventually meet the woman he would marry, Debbie. While in California, Mike had many jobs. His favorite place to work was a bakery that specialized in pies. In 1980, Mike and his wife moved back to Duluth, MN following his brother's passing. Mike then went to work with his dad at his tailor shop for many years. He ended up taking over his dad's business in 1986 as his dad moved back to his hometown in Italy. Mike had many passions; he enjoyed cooking, fishing, and bowling, just to mention a few. His true passion was his love of vehicles, especially his own. He had many vehicles..and we mean many! He had everything from a Mach 1, to a Monster truck, to a Monte Carlo. And of course, we can't forget about his beloved 1964 GTO convertibles or his 1957 Chevy named Bessie and too many others to list! He also had many motorcycles. Mike became an AEC certified mechanic and in his Minneapolis neighborhood, he was known as "Mechanic Mike". Michael will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Ciro Ricco; maternal grandmother, Theresa Amatuzio Agostino; brother, Anthony D. Riccio; and beloved beagle named Butch.
He is survived by his mother, Maria Riccio; sisters, Marta Brandt, Joanna (Pat) Hansen, Gabriella Riccio; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and special friend Tonya Richardson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Gearhart Funeral Home Coon Rapids, on Saturday, September 14th at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers please make memorials out to Maria Riccio Family.
