

passed away on July 6. He was born on Feb. 15, 1929 in Portland, IN to Elza and Clara (Stout) Myers.
Survived by his wife of 66 years Doris (Brady) Myers; his six children, Rebecca Ulrich of Ham Lake; Paul (Diane) Myers of Coon Rapids; Deborah (Rich) Gourley of MN/FL; Rachel (Alan) Troutman of Denver; Charles (Karen) Myers of Stanchfield, MN; Margie (Milt) Berggren of Alamogordo, NM; and sister Margie Whitacre of Indiana; 20 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother Dorwin Myers; and sisters Betty Parks, Doris Vester and Barbara Goldsberry.
Bob served in the United States Air Force as a medic; leaving after 6 years to pursue a calling to the ministry. After graduation from Ozark Bible College (Joplin, MO), he started preaching in Seneca, MO transferring to Coon Rapids Christian Church in 1967. While serving as minister Bob also serviced the community teaching Practical and Preventive Medicine for Missionaries at Ozark; volunteering for the Civil Air Patrol; Civil Defense Director; Scout Master and Vice Chairman of the Anoka County Joint Law Council. Bob served three years as the Second Ward Councilman representing the City of Coon Rapids. In 1979 Bob and his wife, Doris, left to serve on the mission field in Belem, Brazil. After 10 years bob returned to the ministry in Kasson, MN ministering there 4 years. Then returned to Anoka County to work for his son-in-law at Laser Applications, Inc. During this time Bob continued his ministry helping start a new church in Elk River. Bob finally retired in 2003. Although retired, Bob and Doris remained active in the Andover Christian Church.

The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, July 12 at 10 AM with a visitation one hour prior from 9-10 AM at
Andover Christian Church,
16045 Nightingale St. NW,
Andover.
Interment will follow services at
Fort Snelling National Cemetery,
Minneapolis.
