Ronald M Busch

Ronald M. Busch, age 75, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph & Lucille Busch, sister-in-law Carole Busch, and brother-in-law Lyle Anderson. He is survived by his wife Linda; his children Thomas Busch, Jennifer Busch, and Andrew Busch; three grandchildren Irene, Graham, and Allen; and his siblings Joseph Busch and Jeannine Anderson.

Born May 8th 1947 to Joseph and Lucille Busch in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He would grow up in a duplex in south Minneapolis with an older brother, Joseph Jr. and sister Jeannine. Ron Choosing not to finish high school, joined the U.S. Navy in 1964 at the age of 17. He would go on to serve as a Radio Operator aboard the U.S.S. Independence during the Vietnam War. He completed his active duty in 1968 and received an honorable discharge in 1970.

Ron meet his wife Linda M. Graham in 1967 while home on leave in Minneapolis, they would date for 3 years before getting married April 10th 1970. They started their new life in small apartment in south Minneapolis. After 3 years came the birth of their first child Jennifer, born July 9th 1973. A short time later they welcomed child number 2 Andrew, born August 27th 1974. In April of 1977 they would buy a home in Coon Rapids. On March 4th 1980 their 3rd and final child Thomas is born. Ron and Linda would spend the next 42 years here raising a family and growing the deepest of roots. After the Navy, Ron began working at a gas station while going to school for heating and air conditioning. He would go on to work a few jobs before finding work at Minnegasco as a Plant Foreman, where he retired in 2015 after 23 years. Ron would then work part time at Ace Hardware in Blaine to fill some of his days.

Ron enjoyed many activities thru his life. From creating his own mobile DJ business to playing laser tag at work and running thru the woods of Wisconsin playing paintball. He loved to read and write stories, paint and build with his hands. Ron would spend his final days surrounded by family before passing away on August 12th 2022 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

A service of remembrance for Ronald will be held Monday, August 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN with visitation one hour prior beginning at 10 AM.

A burial with military honors will occur Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN.
