Shirley will be deeply missed by her children, Michael (Ginny) VanVleet, Kim Anderson, Terry (Barb) VanVleet; grandchildren, Jason (Jenny) Lindberg, Jamie (Jake) Bostrom, Jeff VanVleet, Jill (Nick Usselman) VanVleet, Jakki (Wade Book) Jendro, David (Medea) Ydstie, Joseph (Kelly) Ydstie, Anthony (Alyssa) McCoy, Alicia (Patrick) Martinson; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Alyvia and Myles Lindberg, Jacob, Jett and Jaxton Bostrom, Finley Usselman, Aubree, Allyee and Aaryn Jendro, Axten Book, Robbie Ydstie, Kaiden Bauer, Haakon Ydstie, Brycen and Jonah McCoy, Maverick Martinson; siblings, Delores Hemming, Ronald (Sharon) Barclay, Joyce (Tom) Rietveld, Roy (Lil) Barclay, Alvin Barclay, Larry (Linda) Barclay.

Shirley was born and raised with her seven siblings in Austin, MN. She married her high school sweetheart, David, and they would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Together they raised their three children in Blaine, MN. Shirley then spent her retirement years enjoying the beaches of Fort Myers, FL before returning to Cambridge, MN, where she spent her time enjoying her family.

Visitation will begin at 11am until time of service at 12:30pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids. Private interment at Morningside Memorial Gardens.
