March 30, 1953 – October 12, 2025
Susan “Sue” Rose Styczynski (Bauer) passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday morning, October 12, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., surrounded by her family. She was born on March 30, 1953, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and grew up in Circle Pines, Minnesota.
Sue was one of a kind: strong willed, outspoken, and quick with a sharp, witty comeback that could stop you in your tracks. She told it like it was, never held back, and that’s what made her unforgettable. Anyone who met Sue walked away with a story, because there was always a story when Sue was involved.
She loved animals, especially her cat Scooter, and shared a passion for cars, particularly Corvettes, and amusement games with her late husband, Al. In their younger years, Sue and Al were known for entertaining and hosting get-togethers where there was never a dull moment. As time went on, they grew to enjoy a quieter, more private life together, surrounded by the things and memories they loved most.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Al; parents, Harold and Theresia; brother, Michael Bauer; and sister, Ann Kjelgaard.
She is survived by her children, Chad Johnson (Janet) and Jeremy Johnson (Janel); stepdaughters; grandchildren and step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; her brother, Steven (Judy) Bauer; nieces; and many loving relatives and friends.
Sue faced a long battle with chronic health issues with courage and stubborn strength. She is now at peace and free from pain, likely already setting things straight and making people laugh wherever she is now.
Honoring her wishes, there will be no formal service, and the family asks that she be remembered in your own way.
Sue will be remembered for her grit, her humor, her honesty, and the countless stories she leaves behind.
