She is preceded in passing by her husband, Teunis Henry Hartgers; and son, Gary Hartgers.

Sylvia is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Kathy) Hartgers and grandson Ryan; daughter, Teresa (Brett) Foster and grandchildren Justine, Jenna, and Luke; son, Wayne (Chris) Hartgers; and grandson, Darryl, and great-grandson, Dylan; granddaughters, Amanda, Chelsey, Desiree; siblings; and other family members and friends.
