Wayne Opsahl

Wayne graduated from Stillwater High School and attended Mankato State. He worked for Montgomery Wards and retired from United Hardware in Milbank, South Dakota.

Wayne was known for his love of sports, he was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins, Vikings and Gophers. His retirement years were joyfully spent babysitting his grandchildren, testament to his loving and nurturing nature. He loved traveling in his RV for the last eight years seeing the country.

Wayne leaves behind a loving family; his wife, Lois Opsahl of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Sons; Brad Opsahl of Stacy Minnesota and David Opsahl of Hurley, Wisconsin. Stepchildren; John Rosenthal (Dana) of Big Lake, Minnesota LeAnne Gluth (Tim) of Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Brother; Ken (Nancy) Opsahl, Sister; Linnea Kment (Mike) of Forest Lake, Minnesota. He was a proud grandfather of Conner, Logan, Madison Rosenthal of Big Lake, Teagan Gluth of Coon Rapids, Theresa Roberts of Stacy Minnesota, 2 nephews, Dale Opsahl and Matt Kment.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Marion Opsahl. His first wife Victoria Schoephaerster- Opsahl

Wayne’s warmth and dedication to his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness and enthusiasm for life will continue to live on through his family and friends.

No services per Wayne’s request, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
