Willis G. Walstad

Age, 89 of Blaine

Passed away 3/22/15

Preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; two brothers; and two sons, Dale and Willis.

Survived by his wife, Jean; children, Robert “Rob” (Deb) Walstad, Angela Lepage, Roxann (Jeff) Devore, Debra (Loren) Phyle, Lynnda (Rex) Swaine and David (Lynn) Walstad; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Lyle and Larry Walstad; and special friend, Angela Griffen; he is further survived by many other relatives and friends.

Willis served in the U.S. Army as a Tank Driver during WWII. He worked as a machinist for 20 plus years at Kurt Manufacturing. After retiring Willis drove School Bus for Kottke in Andover, while driving bus Willis was able to be the “Bus Driver” for his grandson Jordan on his first day of Kindergarten. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, camping, playing and listening to music and spending time with his family.

A special thank you to all the staff at New Brighton Care Center for the loving care they provided for Willis.

Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. MONDAY 3/30/15 at Presbyterian Church of the Masters (789 Northdale Blvd. NW Coon Rapids, MN) Interment with full military honors will follow in the Morningside Memorial Gardens. There will be NO visitation prior to the service on Monday.

In Lieu of Flowers and Plants, memorials are preferred to the family.
