Mr. Alfonso Giordano, a life-long resident of Copaigue, New York, died on Saturday, January 15, 2011. Mr. Giordano was born in Copiague to his parents, the late Charles and Antoinette (nee Minardi). As a young man, he became a plumber by trade, and operated his "Giordano Plumbing" business right in his hometown. He married his sweetheart, the former Gudrin Rice, affectionately known as "Bunny". Together they raised their family - daughter, Pamela; and three sons, Ronald, John and James. Bunny pre-deceased him in December of 2003. Surviving are his four children - Pamela Larsen; Ronald and his companion, Judy Bartow; John and his wife, Patty; and James and his wife, Mary. Also surviving are his nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Family and friends gathered at the D'Andrea Bros. Funeral Home in Copiague, on Tuesday, January 18th. That evening, the Rev. Al Pakianather offered a Catholic Burial Service. On Wednesday, January 19, Mr. Giordano was interred with his wife in Amityville Cemetery.
