

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew Franklin DePaolo, who left us peacefully on October 1, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on December 14, 1945, Andrew was a cherished member of the Amity Harbor community, known for his kindness, dedication, and passion for life.
Andrew is predeceased by his beloved wife, Elizabeth. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Stephanie Gover (Brian), and his son, Andrew DePaolo. He took immense pride in being a grandfather to Ryan, Sarah, Colin, Sidney, and Taylor, who brought him endless joy.
A proud veteran, Andrew served in the United States Air Force, embodying the values of service and commitment. He spent many years as a bus driver for the MTA in New York, where his friendly demeanor and reliability made him a favorite among passengers.
Beyond his professional life, Andrew was an avid sports enthusiast. He dedicated countless hours to coaching high school soccer and baseball, inspiring young athletes to strive for excellence both on and off the field. His passion for sports and mentorship left a lasting impact on many.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at D'Andrea Bros. Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 9:30 AM at St. Martin of Tours RC Church in Amityville, NY. Following the Mass, Andrew will be laid to rest alongside his wife at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY.
Andrew Franklin DePaolo will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his community, and his generous spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
