Mr. Engel was born in Queens to his late parents, Peter and Irene. He married his beloved wife, Marilyn, and together they raised two sons; Richard and James. In his life's work, he worked many years for AID Auto Stores.
Surviving is his wife, Marilyn; his sons, Richard; and James and his wife, Debbie; and his grandchildren, Emma and Christopher.
Family and friends will gather at the Funeral Home on Thursday, June 21st, from 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be offered that evening at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel by the Rev. Dr. Janine H. Burns. On Friday, June 22nd, all will gather at the funeral home by 10:00 a.m. for a short prayer, and then process to Pinelawn Memorial Park for the interment.
