

Lydia was a born and raised Brooklyn native, to her late parents Nicola and Emily. She met her late husband, Frank, as a teenager. They were married and soon bought their home in Massapequa, where they raised their own family of three boys.
Lydia loved to sew, and in her younger years was a professional seamstress, working under the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was so extremely talented, and went on to sew exquisite bridal fashions, working for bridal salons in her hometown of Massapequa. Later, she worked as a window-dresser for May's Department Store. An avid reader, Lydia sometimes read upwards of seven books a week. For the past many years, she was a devoted member of the Amityville Senior Center.
In addition to her husband, Frank; Lydia is predeceased by her youngest son, Andrew; and all her 12 brothers and sisters. Surviving are her sons - Frank, and his wife Joanne, of Florida; and Ronald of Massapequa. She also leaves her grandchildren - Thomas, Frank Jr., John, Tracy, Ronald II, Anthony, Heather Pruitt, Marc and Sophia; and her great-grandchildren - Christian, Colin, Brielle, Isabella, Brianna, Kaitlyn, Cameron, Samantha, Tyler, Dylan and Michael.
Funeral Services are private. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
