Maria Cecilia Castrillon

Con profundo dolor, la familia Castrillón anuncia el fallecimiento de nuestra amada María Cecilia Castrillón, quien partió de este mundo el día 5 de febrero de 2024, a la edad de 93 años. María Cecilia fue una luz radiante en nuestras vidas y su partida deja un vacío imposible de llenar.

Nació el 15 de mayo de 1930 en Útica, Colombia. Hija de Carmen Moreno y hermana de Hipólito Moreno. María Cecilia fue una persona extraordinaria que tocó los corazones de todos los que la conocieron. Siempre será recordada por su bondad, su generosidad, su alegría y su amor incondicional hacia su familia y amigos.

María Cecilia deja atrás a sus amados hijos Beatriz, John Jairo, Ramiro, Patricia, Miriam, Mauricio, Carolina y Leonardo. Así como también a sus nietos Alexandra, Lilian, Katherine, Johnny, Tatiana, Michael, Carolina Anne, Luis Eduardo, Xenia, Julián David, Jorge Alberto, Steph, Andrea Cecilia, Zaianna, Maximiliano, Paola Andrea, Priscilla, Christine, Karina, Erika, Danielito, Leonardo Ariel y Julián Alejandro. También sus bisnietos Valentina, Lazaro, Aria, Isaiah, Amaya, Xavier, Vivianna, Sofia, Jorge Daniel, Emmanuel, Lorenzo, Jaxon, Emily, Isabella, Noah, Penelope, Nina Cataleya, Selena Rose, y el bebe que esta en camino de C.C. y Max.

Sabemos que ella está reunida con sus hijos que ya no están con nosotros; Jorge, Claudia, Luis Alberto, Celina y su esposo Alberto de Jesús.

También la recuerdan sobrinos, sobrinas y demás familiares y amigos cercanos. Incluyendo esos seres que ella les brindo amor y la llamaban madre y abuelita.

Nos reuniremos en D'Andrea Bros. Funeral Home el 24 de febrero, donde familiares y amigos podrán despedirse y rendirle un último homenaje.

En lugar de flores, la familia solicita donaciones en memoria de María Cecilia Castrillón al St Jude 's Children Hospital.

María Cecilia vivirá por siempre en nuestros corazones y su recuerdo nos dará fuerzas para seguir adelante. Que descanse en paz.

Maria Cecilia Castrillon, age 93, of Copiague, New York passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024.

With profound sorrow, the Castrillón family announces the passing of our beloved María Cecilia Castrillón, who departed from this world on February 5, 2024, at the age of 93. María Cecilia was a radiant light in our lives, and her departure leaves an impossible void to fill.

She was born on May 15, 1930, in Útica, Colombia, the daughter of Carmen Moreno and sister of Hipólito Moreno. María Cecilia was an extraordinary person who touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, joy, and unconditional love for her family and friends.

María Cecilia leaves behind her beloved children Beatriz, John Jairo, Ramiro, Patricia, Miriam, Mauricio, Carolina, and Leonardo. As well as her grandchildren Alexandra, Lilian, Katherine, Johnny, Tatiana, Michael, Carolina Anne, Luis Eduardo, Xenia, Julián David, Jorge Alberto, Steph, Andrea Cecilia, Zaianna, Maximiliano, Paola Andrea, Priscilla, Christine, Karina, Erika, Danielito, Leonardo Ariel, and Julián Alejandro. Also, her great-grandchildren Valentina, Lazaro, Aria, Isaiah, Amaya, Xavier, Vivianna, Sofia, Jorge Daniel, Emmanuel, Lorenzo, Jaxon, Emily, Isabella, Noah, Penelope, Nina Cataleya, Selena Rose, and the baby on the way of C.C. and Max.

We know that she is reunited with her children who are no longer with us: Jorge, Claudia, Luis Alberto, Celina, and her husband Alberto de Jesús.

She is also remembered by nieces, nephews, and other close family members and friends. Including those beings whom she provided love to and called her mother and grandmother.

We will gather at D'Andrea Bros. Funeral Home on February 24, where family and friends can say goodbye and pay their final respects.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of María Cecilia Castrillón to St Jude's Children's Hospital.

María Cecilia will live forever in our hearts, and her memory will give us strength to move forward. May she rest in peace.
