Nick worked his lifetime in the construction trade, and was a proud U.S. Navy, Viet Nam veteran. In his freetime, he was an avid surf-fisherman.
Surviving is his beloved wife, Karen; his daughters- Nicole Lombardo-Torres and son-in-law, Dioni; and Katie Lombardo; and his grandson, Dylan Torres. Also surviving are his cherished brother and sisters - Vito Lombardo and his wife, Muriel; Maria Caruso, Barbara Lombardo and Carol Ann Anfuso and her husband, Anthony. He also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews. Nick is predeceased by his sister, Josephine Falanga; his brother, Anthony Lombardo, and his parents, Nicholas, Sr. and Catherine.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Sunday, January 3rd, from 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 p.m. On Monday, a Funeral Mass will be offered at 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption R.C. Church in Copiague. Military Honours will be conducted by the U.S. Navy Ceremonial Guard immediately following Mass. Cremation is private.
