Pearl Brown entered into eternal rest on November 8, 2014 at the age of 90 years old. Beloved mother to Hannah (Joel), Thom (Ela), Marika (Marc), Jerry (Gwen); cherished grandmother to Jason (Anna), Naima (Jay), Michael (Jackie), Russel, Daniel, Zoe and Haley; and adored great grandmother to Juliet, Nicki, Jaime, Luca, Etan, Olivia and Lee.
Pearl cherished her time with family and friends and when she was faced with health challenges Pearl could no longer travel or drive. Being a strong and independent woman who was driven to keep family ties across the globe she took it upon herself to learn how to skype at the age of 85 years old which enabled her to spend time with her family from Israel to Hungary to Boston. Pearl had a love for foreign languages and learned to speak various languages and took every opportunity to converse with people of different origins. She loved to dance and bake, her specialty being Hungarian cake which has been passed down traditionally to her daughters and she made the most delicious chicken soup! Pearl was a traditional Jewish woman with a modern flair and was a participant in life. She loved picnics and barbecues and this past Sukkot was in the Sukkah at her daughter's home. This brought a smile and a joyful heart to her family. She was fascinated by geography, astronomy, the sciences, numbers, planet placement and distance that it was no surprise, but more a wish granted when Pearl turned to her caregiver and spoke her last words that she is ready to fly to the moon and when her caretaker said she would too, Pearl's reply was simply "you'll need wings."
Mrs. Brown is predeceased by her husband, Martin.
