Abraham Chacko was born on November 26, 1937 at Puthuvely, Kottayam as the second son out of the six children of Aley and Chacko Vandannoor. He was nicknamed “Avarankutty” by his loving family members and “Avarankutty Sir'' by his neighbors and friends.
His schooling started at Puthuvely Government LP school and graduated high school from O.L.L Highschool, Uzhavoor. He completed his T.T.C from Manarkad, Kottayam. He got married in 1963 to Annamma Kandathil, daughter of Martha and Mani Kandathil in 1963. He and Annamma were blessed with four children: Blessy, Byju, Binu, and Bindhu.
He started his professional life at Holy Cross high school, monippally, and retired from St. Stephens LP school, Uzhavoor in 1993.
He migrated to the U.S in 1993 along with his wife and children. He became a proud grandfather to his very first grandchild, Merin Rajumon, on March 22, 1999, followed by 11 more grandkids to make a total of a dozen grandchildren.
He was a loving, and caring husband, father and grandpa, and God-fearing man throughout his life. He had a very active life unti he had a stroke in 2014. Even though he struggled with some physical disabilities since then, he had a great spirit and positive attitude towards life.
He was called to eternal life on November 11, 2021. He had a peaceful passing surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Annamma Abraham, children, and grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed and constantly remembered by his loved ones, being a guardian angel over them.
