Antonia de Jongh November 2, 1975 – May 7, 2017 Antonia was born on November 2, 1975 in Galveston, Texas to David and Rosemary de Jongh. The family moved to Pascagoula, MS the following spring, then to Chicago, IL in 1977. The year after that, they moved to England, and she attended Whittlesea Elementary School until returning to the USA to settle in Carrollton, TX in 1980. There, Antonia attended McFarlane Elementary School, then Blalack Middle School, R.L.Turner High School and finally Newman Smith High School. Antonia loved to travel and was always excited to be going on a plane or out in the car. She spent much happy time in Florida, visiting Walt Disney World, visiting "Barney" at Universal Studios or being at the beach watching the ocean. She had a great love of nature and particularly loved to sit out and look at trees. She formed a particularly strong bond with her cousin Mark, following his visit with us in Florida. Her great passion was music, and she was rarely without her latest music player, headphones on and humming or singing along. This sweet happy girl dealt with the multiple challenges in her life with constant grace and dignity, never complaining. She was an inspiration to so many. She will be very sadly missed by everyone who knew her, and is survived by parents David and Rosemary de Jongh, and uncles, aunts and cousins in England. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die. Mary Elizabeth Frye
