When I think about Connie : the word "precious"  says it all.  She loved all people.

Connie was a women of action with compassion. When she saw a need she did what she could to meet the need. She was a loving example to others. I think of how she will be missed by so many, her family and  especially by Jim and her grandchildren that she so dearly loved.

I am blessed to have been privileged with coming to know Connie and Jim.  My heartfelt sympathy for their family along with the family of Jan and Don Dickson.  Prayers and wishes for comfort for all of you.

  I cried when I heard Connie passed away. What a dear Chistian woman. My condolences to all the family.

  Then my memories started flooding back of our RAGBRAI biking trip together with our teenaged boys and my husband Bob. Connie and I were support people and pulled the camper, set it up and tore it down each night so the guys could have a comfortable bed to sleep in and showers at the schools each night. I will never forget how Connie and I went to the Women's shower area to clean up after a steamy, exhausting travel day and found a big open room filled with showering,  disrobed women of all ages with no privacy at all. We were too shocked and modest to enter and left, laughing together hysterically at the totally embarrassing sight!
 
  Then later, after another dusty travel day I decided it was time to get the truck washed so Connie and I headed to the car wash. I pulled in and as the big rotating brushes came forward on top we suddenly heard a loud thumping noise, the truck swayed and then loud crashes. I looked at Connie in shock, she looked at me, stunned. What's happening we both thought.Then she quietly said "Let's pray!" 

  That was Connie, she always knew the right thing to do!!! We thought we were going to die! 

  We found out afterward that I had forgotten the bike rack was on top. The rotating brushes grabbed that thing, ripped it away from the frame and flung it out the back door of the car wash.

 That was my husbands favorite story to tell and he never rebuked me for my stupidity because he got so much enjoyment out of telling it. Ha!

  Precious fun memories of a sweet woman who was my dear friend.

Jim, It was a joy and a blessing to have known Connie.  She was always thinking of others. We and her neighbors will miss her very much.  She also made very! delicious scones!

Connie was such a sweet Godly woman.  What a joy to be in a writing memoir class with her and to learn more of her early life.  I particularly enjoyed looking out from the choir loft to see Connie and Jim sitting in the congregation.  She is missed!  Ken & Sharron Neal (Plano, TX)

  The Lord blessed us with a special friendship with Connie and each of you!
  Connie called me one day, 30 some years ago, about how good the pain clinic was!  In talking, I learned that their son was the Jerry our daughter was friends with at church.
  We have missed them since they went to Texas, but we have kept in touch through telephone calls, emails and cards.
  Connie has been such an encourager and faithful friend...and she and Jim mean a lot to both of us. Connie's faith and love for Jesus was always with her as she ministered to others.   love, Jim and Dannetta Feleay

Connie was full of light. It was always a pleasure to talk to her and to learn about her enthusiasm and skills video-recording her family life.
She left too soon.
We will miss her.

I am at a loss for words to express the sadness I feel at dear Connies passing.  She was such a special friend and woman of God.  Her words of comfort this past January to me at the passing of my mother meant so much to me.  We were blessed for many years to be part of a group of church women known as the Snack-N-Yaks.  Although we lost touch when she moved to Texas, she was in my thoughts often.  She was passionate about supporting politicians that stood firm in the Christian faith.  She loved crafts and most of all she loved the Lord Jesus Christ.  Heaven certainly gained an angel.  I pray for you, Jim, Cynthia and Jerry as you try to adjust to life without her.

Dear Connie was a wonderful woman, she made everyone feel welcome.  We know how much she meant to us as a real friend, encouraging us on our recent move into her community.   She made sure everyone knew us and included us in all the conversations.  I had told her last year how much she had meant to me as a newcomer to Prestonwood.   We had many plans for creative adventures together .. she loved anything that was creative and was a great author in our Memoir writing group.  I will miss her very much.   Our sympathy to Jim and family.  So sorry we will not be there for her service.  God Bless you All.

Connie exemplified what being a woman of faith and courage was. She was a bright light to all of those she touched beginning with the children she taught to the women in Wednesday night Bible class. Connie was such a "light" wherever she went.  Her faith was very apparent.  I got to know her a little while in Colorado.  I had hoped for more time together.  I still carry a little tissue holder she made me and have treasured it because it reminds me of her.  My heart goes out to her family.  You were so blessed to have her as wife,mother and friend.  She will be missed here on Earth, but I know she is thrilled to be with her Lord and Savior.  Sue Frederick

Jim and Connie were my daughter Charlotte's Sunday school teachers every week when she was 4-5.  I considered them her "in town" grandparents. Charlotte always loved going to see Miss Connie and the prizes they would bring for the kids!  She would come out of class telling how Miss Connie wrapped up and cradled baby Moses except "Mom it was really just a baby doll!"

I will always think of her as one of the joyful bright spots in the Childrens Ministry at Federated. She was so wonderful to the kids and we were blessed to have her caring for them!
