Gloria Glorene Stinde

Gloria Glorene Stinde was born July 20, 1941, in Grand Junction, CO. She passed away on October 13, 2022, in Coppell, TX. Gloria’s maiden name was Todhunter, and the family moved to Bellingham, WA when Gloria was very young. She remained in Bellingham until shortly after she was married. Gloria attended Bellingham High School and later received her diploma through Highline Community College in Des Moines, WA. Gloria also attended beauty school in her early 30s and provided these services mostly to friends and family. Gloria met John Dean Stinde in the Bellingham area in her late teens and the two were married when she was 18 years old. The couple relocated to the South Puget Sound area, ultimately settling into the Federal Way, WA community. After John retired, Gloria began her career in property management. She managed apartment complexes for several years throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s. Gloria and John were devout Christians and were active members at Bethel Chapel and Bible Fellowship in Federal Way, WA. Gloria loved people and especially children, many of which she cared for over her years. Gloria’s best friend in her life was Roberta Brown, who has always been a loyal and special friend to her.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John Stinde, her mother Anna Mae Todhunter and her father, Frank Todhunter. Also preceding her in death were siblings, Harold, Caroline, Julia, Donald, Pat, Jane, Robert, and Frank. She is survived by her sister Mary Williams. She is survived by her children, Lynnette Kiefer (Shawn), John Smith (Lynn), Kim Stinde, and Mark Stinde (Niki). She is survived by several grandchildren, Eric Smith, Vanessa Smith, Jason Stinde, Lala Harmon, Aaron Randolph, Katie Grant, Joshua Collins, Alyssa Garrett, Heather Johnson, Tyler Stinde, Katelyn Felt, and Connor Stinde. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, Aaliaya, Merlin, Xander, Natalie, Garret, Chloe, Charlie, Waylon, Olivia, Aaliyah, Jaden, Jackson, Roman, Evelyn, Teddy, and Grace.

The family will be having a celebration of life service in November in the greater Seattle area. Details will be forthcoming.
